Proceedings on exemption from regulation in accordance with section 28a EnWG upon application by Deutsche Grüngas und Energieversorgung GmbH

Ruling Chamber 7 opened proceedings on an exemption from regulation in accordance with section 28a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) with the reference BK7-22-129 following an application by Wilhelmshaven-based Deutsche Grüngas und Energieversorgung GmbH (DGGEV). DGGEV, which is a subsidiary of Tree Energy Solutions GmbH (TES), plans to build a stationary liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Wilhelmshaven.

The consultation of Member States as set out in point 2a of Article 36(3) of Directive 2009/73/EG (Gas Directive) was launched on 1 February 2024. The consultation ran until 15 February 2024.
