Special services
Special services play a key role in particular in the field of science and research. They include the standard frequency and time signal, meteorological aids, earth exploration and radio astronomy services; other special services and applications are listed in the Frequency Ordinance and the Frequency Plan.
The technical specifications developed and approved at international level within the ITU-R SG 7 Working Parties - which above all cover compatibility aspects - are to be taken into due account in the standardisation work undertaken by ETSI's Technical Groups. The Bundesnetzagentur participates in this work under its mandate to guarantee and support efficient and interference-free spectrum use.
