DECT

Digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) technology is often referred to in connection with the standardisation of cordless telephones. DECT is distinguished by the good degree of protection against eavesdropping and the voice quality that it provides. The standardisation activities currently in progress have various aims: improving the connectivity of DECT applications with IP networks, enhancing voice quality, and ensuring the use of DECT for data communications – such as home automation applications – in the future.
