Broadband wireless access

Broadband wireless access (BWA) technologies are radio applications that provide broadband wireless access to a communications network, usually delivering "last mile" connections for data communication. There are a range of fixed and mobile broadband wireless access technologies that can be used, including WiMAX and HIPERLAN (fixed) and WLAN and RLAN (mobile). There is a constant increase in the use of such technologies - for home, office and industrial applications - and it is now virtually impossible to imagine radiocommunications without broadband wireless access.
