Technical Requirements

The technical requirements on metering and billing systems relate to recording, processing and transmitting data. The minimum technical requirements that are used by the assessing bodies and the RegTP to appraise the adequacy of the measures demonstrated as required by Section 5 of the TKV are laid down in Parts 1 to 3 of Administrative Order 168/1999 "Technical Requirements for Metering and Billing Systems to Guarantee Accuracy in accordance with Section 5 of the Telecommunications Customer Protection Ordinance (TKV)" as published in Official Gazette 23/1999 of 22 December 1999.

The technical requirements apply to the systems that are used by companies offering telecoms services to the public to charge their customers for metered calls; they do not apply to inter-operator billing.

Part 3 of the Technical Requirements is available to download in PDF file at the end of this page.
