Numbers for Test Purposes in order to identify the carrier are generally assigned and are used as follows:
(0)31-0 Test of carrier selection and carrier pre-selection for long-distance connections
(0)31-1 Test of carrier selection and carrier pre-selection for local connections

Legal basis for the allocation and the use of numbers for Test Purposes to identify the carrier is the ordinance "Use of subrange (0)31 of the public telephone numbering space"*. Nutzung des Teilbereichs (0)31 des Nummernraums für öffentliche Telefonnetze (pdf / 6 KB) The directive is considered as a numbering plan subject to the meaning of section 2 of the Telecommunications Numbering Ordinance.
The commercial use of the numbers (0)31-0 and (0)31-1 in connection with a Carrier code for carrier selection or carrier pre-selection does not constitute a testing of gateways in the sense of this order and is therefore not permitted.
The numbers (0)31-2 to (0)31-9 are not assigned and are free service codes.
